~ General: Top Page Keyboard Shortcuts ChangeLog Tips ~ Feature Docs: Settings Snapshots Meshes Camera Lighting Reference Textures |
~ Overview: ~ snapshots are images of your model taken from a certain angle that can be edited and projected onto the model's texture. they can be adjusted much like layers in photoshop, and edited until you are happy with them at which point you can merge it onto the main model texture. (Keep in mind that until you take a snapshot, you wont see any snapshot layers or snapshot settings in the snapshot menu) ~~ Snapshot Layers: ~~ ~ /\ & \/: ~ these buttons change the ordering of the snapshot, snapshots lower down will be drawn beneath snapshots above. ~ Edit: ~ Opens this snapshot up for editing. you only need to click this if the snapshot you want to edit is not the current active snapshot. otherwise you can just keep making changes to the current snapshot image and save it to see it applied to the model. ~ Hide: ~ Hides this snapshot, it won't be drawn on the model texture. ~ Copy View: ~ positions the camera where it was when you originally took this snapshot, handy if you want to take a new snapshot from the same place ~ Delete: ~ Deletes the snapshot. THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE! ~~ Snapshot Settings~~ ~ Occlude Geometry: ~ turn this on to prevent drawing through solid faces onto faces behind. ~ Cull Backfaces: ~ turn this on to prevent drawing on faces not pointing towards the camera. ~ Cull Depth: ~ turn this on and use the first slider to decide how far from the camera the projection should go. the second slider determines how far beyond that point the projection should fade out. ~ Cull Normal: ~ turn this on and use the first slider to clip the projection based on vertex normal angle. the second slider determines how far beyond that point the projection should fade out. |
